On that note, for your drooling pleasure, here's an easy, yet delicious recipe for wings. PS- are we seeing a common theme here lately? I am all about simple recipes. I blame the pregnancy.
Here's what you'll need:
- 25 whole chicken wings (about 5 lbs)
- 1 bottle (12 ounces) chili sauce
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 1/4 cup molasses
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 6 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 tablespoon salsa
- 1 teaspoon garlic salt
- 3 drops hot pepper sauce
Yuck. But we have to work with it because at the end it tastes delicious.
Cut the chicken wings into 3 sections and discard the wing tips (I did not do that this time because, well, I ran out of time and had to hurry). Place the wings in a slow cooker.
In a bowl, combine the remaining ingredients.
Goo.
Pour the goo over the chicken and stir to coat.
Cover and cook on low for 8 hours or until chicken is tender. If you're a lucky gal like me, you can use the temperature probe in your slow cooker and just cook until 180 degrees.
Place on plate and dig in. With your hands. And lots of paper towels.
Discard the bone. Dig in again.
Discard the bones.
Get up and get some more. Repeat.
Hmm...I'm usually into "crispy", but might have to try these.
