But this weekend I changed it up. I'm daring like that.
I dug through the fridge and found this:
- English muffins
- Mozzarella cheese
- Tomato
- Pepperoni
- Tomato sauce
- Basil and olive oil
Start with some English muffins. Slice them in half and toast them for a couple of minutes.
Then add some basil and olive oil.
Top with some tomato sauce and cheese.
Then throw in your toppings of choice.
I chose tomatoes and pepperoni on mine.
But Jon is boring and doesn't like tomatoes so he just wanted pepperoni.
Boooooooring.
Stick them in the oven for 10-15 minutes.
Then serve.
Freezing those fresh herbs is a really good idea, I need to remember that one!
ReplyDeleteWe used to make those when I was a kid! I totally forgot about this! Thank you for reminding me!!!

ReplyDeleteMy sister was just talking the other day about how she is on a constant search for basil. I will have to tell her about your basil year round trick. She'll love it!
