Thank you all for participating in the "You know you're a mom when..." Here are some of your posts that I couldn't help but comment on.
HAHAHAHAHA I am not here yet, but I can't wait.
- Your husband walks in from work and after smelling what a normal person
should smell like, you realize you haven’t showered that day or maybe
even the day before. -Amanda at Life in the Salyer House
I've actually showered almost every day! Almost...we don't talk about the other days.
- You look at your spouse in a totally different light. He is so much more
than just a husband now. He’s an amazing father. It makes my heart
sing. -Amanda at Life in the Salyer House
When Jon walks in the door after work and reaches out to take Addi from me, I melt. I also sometimes cry. That's the hormones though, I swear.
- If you have left the house with spit up down your back. -Lauren at The Train's
LOL This is a fear of mine!
- If you wake up panicked in the middle of the night thinking that you are
still holding your baby when in reality it is sleeping peacefully in
his/her bed. -Lauren at The Train's
This happens to me every night. I'm hoping it goes away because I think Jon is sick of calming me down in the middle of the night and proving that Addison is in her bed.
- You can't sing "You are my sunshine, my only sunshine" without crying six words in -Candice at My Little Booger
I actually can't get through most books, songs, or poems without tearing up. The "How I Love you" book kills me.
- Before you go on a date with your husband you have to take your things out of the diaper bag and put them in your purse. Wait, do you even know where your purse is? Or when the last time you carried it was? -Jennifer at The Green's
I have been laughing at this one for like 10 minutes now...mostly because I haven't seen my purse since we came home...3 weeks ago.
- You think the sight of your child at any given moment of the day (or
night) is the most beautiful thing you have ever seen and you wonder what in the world was my life like before her? -Jennifer at The Green's
Wait, I was alive before Peanut was born? What?
- You've traded in your high heels for comfy ugg boots and leggings. -Megan at The Corral's
I love high heels. So much. I have a bagillion of them. But I have been living in my Uggs. I hadn't even noticed!
- Every quite moment in your brain is filled in by some sort of song from a children’s television program. -Lori at I Can Grow People
I've been humming nursery songs for over 2 weeks now. Apparently this won't stop.
HAHAHAHAHAHA I am not sure how I feel about this one.
- you are super excited about your new exercise regimen.....courtesy of
Billy Blanks on Exercise TV (that you fit in twice a week, after 7pm, if
you are lucky). - Amy and Luke at We're In for It
I've made it to the basement to walk on my treadmill twice so far...and I consider that to be a very successful week.
I totally don't do that...umm...dang it, Erin. Way to give away the gross secrets of Motherhood
I woke up in a panic several times a night every night for... weeks? Months?? (Still??) Absolutely convinced that the baby was in the bed with us and getting smooshed. There was NO reason to think this, but I would wake up with a start several times a night anyway. It will eventually decrease, but for me it hasn't stopped completely yet (my son is 9 mths old now). It still happens once in a while, but thankfully not frequently.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks for the shout-out. :)
