Here is my top 5 list of reality TV shows that I watch, but would probably deny to most people.
16 and Pregnant
I love this show. I have no idea why. It's interesting to see the reaction on these young couples when they find out they are about to enter reality. I guess a part of me is really glad that I never had an unplanned pregnancy. I think most girls would agree.
The Real World
I really have no excuse here. It's trash TV. And I love it. I have no idea what's wrong with me and there are days that I consider that I'm too old to watch this. But then my DVR tapes it for me and I watch it on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I can't help enjoy their drama. I'd include Jersey Shore in this list because I have nothing else to watch while running on the treadmill, but I'm not sure how long it'll stick.
The Hills
I have a lot of guilty pleasures. I used to LOVE Laguna Beach for the first two years. Then Lauren went on to do the Hills and I followed. I grew up but my love for watching these girls struggle through their completely spoiled lives didn't. I'm pretty sure that I don't even like watching it, but I haven't stopped yet. It's like roadkill - you can't help but look.
I didn't know I was pregnant
So seriously, this all started with a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was watching TV and I noticed a show that I thought was a special about people who didn't know they were pregnant. 'Unbelievable!' I thought. How very weird and totally unlikely. So I watched it. Then I noticed a few days later that the show was on again. But with different people. This was a freaking series! With more than one season! All these people had babies without knowing they were pregnant. WHAT THE F?! And so, of course, since I enjoy watching roadkill, I watch it. Not religiously, but when it's on, I can't help but watch it.
America's Next Top Model
I'm not even going to deny it. I love, love, love this show. I especially like it when there is a Sunday marathon for the full cycle. (Are we noticing a Sunday trend? Sunday is my 'lazy' day). The drama, the regular-looking girls that end up modeling. I love them. Also, I want to be one of them. But I'm too old. I realize that. *sigh*
