My couch, the infirmary

Past couple of days my house has turned into an infirmary.

Somewhere along my travels last week I picked up a cold.

And since I'm nursing, these are my measures of comfort: hot tea, tissues, and non-mentholated cough drops.

But the worst part of all is that my poor baby caught the cold too.

Peanut has been sneezing, coughing, and snotting practically non-stop since yesterday.

She's also been sleeping a lot.  Which is good for her recovery.

And I've been taking her temperature non-stop.  And pulling boogies out of her tiny cute irritated nose.

By the way, if you have a baby or a kid, this thermometer is awesome - all you do is swipe it across their forehead!  No need to add any fussiness of sticking one in their ear or worse!

And until she feels better, we've got this little gal to keep her comforted.

  2. I hope you feel better soon! I used to take Benedryl when I was nursing, so you might ask your doc about that and any other meds you could take to feel better. I know that Nyquil is out, but I do believe there are others... Good luck! Taking care of a baby when you're sick is no fun.

  7. Aww I hope you both feel better fast! Thanks for your input on that thermometer. I've read so many reviews but couldn't decide if I should get it. I'll be happy to take the "other end" one off my registry!

  8. A humidifier and saline drops always saved us when our little one was sick and snotty nosed. The saline drops thin out the gunk in their noses and help you get it out easier. Good Luck and I hope you all feel better soon.

  11. This is the third time today I've heard about the temporal thermometer! Sounds like I need to add it to our registry.

Feel better, Peanut! (And Mama, too.)
