For Father’s day, Peanut (*cough* mom *cough*) bought Jon a Sabona Tungsten Carbide Magnetic Bracelet.
There is this whole thing about these bracelets promoting health and other positive effects on your body. One of which, apparently, has to do with flexibility.
Apparently, these are supposed to help you with your golf swing…yeah, cuz we totally need more golf around here.
So Jon and I decided that we just had to test the theory for ourselves. We’re not saying it works, but check this out.
1- The Reach
(Are you looking a this hands or his toes?)
2 – The Twist
(Check out the candle as the marker).
When Jon told me about this, I said that it’s total…umm…fooey (yeah, let’s say that’s the word I used). Then he demonstrated and I laughed. I told him he was faking it.
Then I tried The Reach, but felt and saw no difference. I told Jon he was cheating. Then I tried The Twist. And it actually worked – I could twist further and felt like it was easier.
I’m still skeptic.
What do you guys think?

While I love the idea of easy performance enhancement, it just sounds too good to be true. The scientist in me immediately says placebo effect, but the acupuncture user in me thinks there could be something behind it. Short summary: I have no idea what I think.
ReplyDeleteMy dad wears a magnetic wrap on his knee at night and swears by it. I just haven't had any experience with them, so I don't really have an opinion.
ReplyDeleteHoly cow!!! That seems amazing!
ReplyDeleteI've seen those bracelets and the demos on tv. That's neat!

I've heard people say it's all in your mind, but I have tried it out and it did work for me. I can't balance well and when someone tried to tip me over with one of those on, it didn't work! So I kind of believe it.
ReplyDeleteI'm not flexible at all 'cause I can't bend my back, I am however, very clumsy. So who knows if it would be helpful. It looks like it works for Jon but that could just be him messing with you.
ReplyDeletemy brother wears a magnet bracelet and he says that he sleeps better with it. I don't know. I'm still a skeptic.
