Tuesday fun

(Don't forget about the Giveaway going on.)

Here's what Peanut and I did on Tuesday of my last week on Maternity leave.

We woke up (Peanut slept from 7.30pm till 6am last night!!!!) and changed out of our jammies.

We pondered the meaning of life.

We spent some more time playing.

Then we blew some bubbles.

We smiled some more.

We took a nap on mom.

Then we spent about an hour rolling around on the floor.

Please tell me how you were able to deal with your baby going to daycare because right now all those positives don't seem to outweigh the horrible heavy feeling in my heart.

  4. I'm not quite there yet, but I've heard it's not as bad as we anticipate it will be. I love the outfits you put her in- they are so adorable! And yay for sleeping through the night!

i am on week two of back to work. the first DAY was the hardest i have to admit, i cried at work every time someone asked me about isaac :-( but, what helps is if you feel you've chosen the right daycare for you and when you pick up your peanut she is smiling and happy and has a great night with you!! from what EVERYONE tells me, it's harder on us then them!!!

  7. Aw! Peanut is adorable! Love the pictures, and it looks like Tuesday was a lot of fun in your house!

I don't have my own, but I've worked in daycare, and I've seen lots of moms cry when they bring their babies in for the first time. The only thing that I can tell you is to try to keep your feelings to yourself in front of Addison, because she will pick up on the emotion and it might make it harder on her to settle in. At this age she'll be fine going in, she won't be strange with people and she'll settle in to the daycare very quickly.

From my experience, the kids who's moms are outwardly more relaxed and put on a happy face when they're dropping their kids in to the centre are the ones who settle in more quickly & get the most out of being in the daycare.

  8. I only work part time but the first few weeks were hard/annoying for me. I felt like what I was doing at work was pointless when I just wanted to be at home with my baby. Ultimately I just tried to stay busy and trust the babysitter and know that my little girl was in good hands. Now, work is fine - and Anne Margaret is great at the sitters. I have nothing to worry about and I enjoy my job and getting to socialize and have some structure in my week. One thing that I did to ease the transition was the week before I went back, I took Anne Margaret to the sitters house for a few hours each day. I got out and about and it helped me ease back into things. Hang in there and good luck!
